WOLVES HOMA MC4 - Keep Rolling!

Author
By Omid M. Team Manager

Game Played on June 28 2026

Our WW Homa secured a hard-fought victory over OCSC Blue MC4 in a match played under extremely hot conditions, where the intensity remained high from start to finish. Although OCSC controlled possession for much of the game, WW Homa stayed organized defensively and looked dangerous on the counterattack. The breakthrough came after a costly mistake by the OCSC goalkeeper, allowing WW Homa to take the lead.

Both teams created several good scoring opportunities afterward, but neither side could capitalize until OCSC found the equalizer in the second half. The game remained evenly contested, with both teams pushing for a winner as the pace never slowed despite the heat.

WW Homa showed great determination in the closing stages and continued to apply pressure. With just five minutes remaining, the team's physical presence and height advantage proved decisive, as WW Homa converted a corner kick to score the winning goal and earn a well-deserved three points.

Game Played on June 28 2026

On a night thick with humidity and under the threat of dark, looming skies, our Wolves OT3 faced LACA Los Masters in a crucial matchup against the team sitting just below us in the standings. With valuable points on the line, our Wolves delivered a determined performance to secure another important victory.

At the back, goalkeeper Charles Vincent was outstanding, commanding his area with confidence while providing constant, audible direction that kept the defensive line organized. In front of him, Neal Hall, Marco Bernabo, and Alonso Gartner put in disciplined, hard-working performances, frustrating the opposition and limiting quality scoring chances. In midfield and attack, the Wolves showed patience and purpose.

An honourable mention also goes to Oscar Arrieta, whose clinical finishing produced two well-taken goals that ultimately proved to be the difference.

It was a complete team performance that was built on communication, defensive discipline, and timely finishing. This helps keep our team moving in the right direction as the season continues.

WOLVES OT5 - Bouncing Back Together!

Author
By SALVADOR H.C.

Game Played on June 28 2026

Our OT5 Wolves team played against Ottawa Bears Oranje on their home field. With the start of summer vacations, the World Cup and injuries, we had a smaller roster than usual.

We played against a team that plays together all year round and this shows. The game ended in a Bears victory, with Curtis S. scoring our goal after a good offensive play. Despite the result, our team played well and we continued to see improvement across all lines.

Our next game will be against Carleton Place.

Forza Wolves!

WOLVES ALBANIA OT4 Turn Up the Heat in Gritty 3-1 Win!

Game Played on June 28 2026

It was a sweltering day on the pitch, but our squad showed incredible resilience, battling through the suffocating heat to secure a hard-fought victory. We faced off against a sharp Ottawa Bolides side that came out swinging, pushing hard early on and nearly taking the lead. However, our backline held firm. As the first half neared its end, we found our breakthrough, slotting home a crucial opening goal to carry a 1-0 lead into the halftime interval.

The second half began with an immediate test of character, as the Bolides capitalized shortly after kickoff to tie the match at 1-1. Despite the setback, our team never stopped believing. We kept pushing and pushing, dominating possession until we finally broke the dam with a brilliant second goal to restore our lead.

With time winding down, the opponents were forced to push forward in search of an equalizer. This left their backline completely exposed, and we clinical Wolves took full advantage, striking on the counter to bury our third goal of the day.

Facing a physical opponent, Hasim took hits from all directions but refused to be shaken, anchoring the midfield with sheer determination and keeping us steady when it mattered most. Well done 👏

Some of the best moments happen after the final whistle. Post-game beverages and a team BBQ provided the perfect setting to reflect on a great match and enjoy the fantastic camaraderie this group shares.

WOLVES OT2 - Clutch Performance Delivers Victory!

Game Played on June 28 2026

This week our Wolves were back at home to take on the Ottawa Falcons. It was an opportunity to get back into the win column against a team below us in the standings. While the team mostly controlled the play, lots of misplaced passes in the 1st half diminished many of our promising attacks. Despite the sloppy play, we got the only quality chance in the 1st half when a ball over the top found Zeyad Kassis coming in from the right wing. The Falcons goalie challenged well and was able to get a foot on the shot. We went into half deadlocked at 0.

Our play picked up in the 2nd half as we continued  to control the play and got the majority of the chances. Of course it was the teams leading scorer, Hakan Mustafa who got the games 1st goal. A great run down the wing by Zeyad who crossed the ball along the ground for the tap in. It looked like a single goal would be enough but about 5 minutes later the Falcons would equalize. A long ball found the Falcons striker for a breakaway which was finished nicely into the bottom right corner. We would take the lead back with only about 8 minutes to play. Lu Caceros got his 1st of the year from a shot that had to have been from 30 yards out. He intercepted a clearance and took his chance on goal. Maybe it was a little lucky the goalie whiffed on it or maybe it was the power behind the shot but either way it went in and the team was able to hold on for the deserved 2-1 win.

Man of the Match: Zeyad Kassis earned his 2nd honour for the season. His speed was a constant threat and a lot of our attack was generated from his wing.

WOLVES MR5 - Strong Team Performance Lifts Wolves!

Author
By KILEY M. Team Manager

Game Played on June 24 2026

Our Westboro Wolves traveled away to face a strong Ottawa Spitfires side. We fielded one of our strongest squads of the season.
We started brightly, and inside the opening five minutes, Ethan Lundqvist burst into the box before being brought down, earning a penalty. Malcolm McAllister stepped up confidently and buried his spot kick into the bottom right of the net, giving the goalkeeper no chance.
The pressure continued as Alton Erman threaded a perfectly weighted pass through for Cameron Hastings, who raced onto it and calmly finished to double our advantage. The Spitfires responded well before halftime, pulling back one to cut our lead in half. At the break, it was 2–1 for our Wolves.
After the interval, our Wolves took control, dominating possession and creating the better chances against a quality Spitfires side, yet a defensive lapse allowed the Spitfires to tie the game up. With 20 minutes remaining, Andrew Strottman floated a superb free kick into the box, where Scott Melvin rose highest to guide his header into the bottom corner and restore our lead. A comprehensive goalkeeping display by RJ and some stand-out performances from our Wolves helped us maintain our dominance.
McAllister then sealed the victory in style. Picking the ball up near halfway, he drove down the wing, beat two defenders, cut in from the byline and unleashed a thunderous left-foot strike into the bottom corner to complete a brilliant play and add to our lead.
Well done, lads! 👏

WOLVES MR3 ALPHAS - The Result Didn't Reflect Our Performance!

Author
By RABI S. Team Manager

Game Played on June 24 2026

From the first whistle to the final seconds, our team put on a masterclass in what it truly means to play as one. Every player gave their absolute all, executing a beautiful, fluid display of collective football. We didn't just play; we dominated. Our passing sequences were sharp, our defense was a fortress, and the sheer volume of high-quality chances we created showed just how dangerous we are when we hit our stride.

While the scoreboard didn't reward our dominance today, and a highly controversial penalty call gave our opponents an unexpected lifeline, what cannot be disputed is the heart and character of our squad. When the game turned into a fierce battle, we stood tall.
Futball can be unpredictable, but performances like this prove we have the chemistry, the talent, and the spirit to take on anyone. We walked off that pitch with our heads held high and left everything out there. The goals will come, the bounces will go our way next time, but the brotherhood and belief we showed today? That is what champions are made of.

On to the next one!

WOLVES MR3 - Mission Accomplished!

Author
By JAHEEL B. Team Manager

Game Played on June 24 2026

Our team got off to a slow start and fell behind within the first five minutes, but the response from the team was excellent. We settled into the game quickly, found the equalizer, and continued to build momentum with strong possession, quality chances, and disciplined defending. Our efforts were rewarded with another goal before halftime, giving us a well-deserved 2–1 lead at the break.

The second half was one of our strongest stretches of the season. We continued to play with confidence and intensity, extending our lead to 5–1 through excellent teamwork, movement, and clinical finishing.

Late in the game, we conceded twice, once from a corner and once from a penalty, as fatigue set in, and we became a little sloppy in our defensive organization. While it was disappointing not to finish the game more cleanly, it didn't take away from what was an outstanding overall performance.

Overall, it was a great game. The team showed resilience after conceding early, controlled long stretches of play, created plenty of scoring opportunities, and earned a convincing result through hard work and a strong collective effort.

WOLVES MR4 - Progress and Positivity!

Game Played on June 23 2026

A 4-0 loss on the night against the league leaders, but the score line doesn’t really reflect how this game was played.

We actually had more possession of the ball and created the better chances throughout the match. Now we understand why they’ve only conceded two goals all season. Their keeper was outstanding and made save after save to keep us off the board. They didn’t create many chances themselves, but they were clinical whenever they got in front of goal, and that was the difference.

It’s a frustrating result, but there are plenty of positives to take from the performance. We keep building and look ahead to the next one.

WOLVES MR2 - Preparation and Focus Prevails!

Author
By ANTONINO Z. Team Manager

Game Played June 22 2026

This game's result reflects what happens when our team stays focused, plays with discipline, and is  fully dialed in.

We started in a similar way to our previous match but this time we did not relent, instead we added goals. What I saw was a determined group that showed up with a job to do and never lost sight of it. From the first whistle to the last, there was constant encouragement on and off the pitch, and that energy carried us all the way through.

What surprised me most was what happened after the final whistle. For a team that had just earned a big victory, this was probably the quietest celebration I've witnessed in quite some time. Maybe it wasn't excitement that filled the air, but satisfaction. The kind that comes from putting in the work and knowing that we came and we thoroughly conquered!

Our Goal Scorers:

⚽ ⚽ Ohida A.  ⚽ Karim A.  ⚽  Kian Y.  ⚽ Diego G.  ⚽ Ryan F.

I am extremely proud of the way our group responded and even prouder that respect, effort, and teamwork came out on top.

  FORZA 🐺 WOLVES!

★★★ PLAYER OF THE MATCH

Ian A.

Tasked with marking a talented opponent who had at least a foot in height on him, Ian never looked intimidated. While his opponent may have had the size advantage, Ian had something far more effective: relentless focus.

His eyes were locked on two things all night, the player's feet and the ball. By staying tight, closing down space, and refusing to give him room to operate, Ian turned what could have been a major threat into little more than a frustrated spectator. Bravo Ian!

Honourable mention to Ohida A. who scored 2 timely goals.

A shout out to the Few brothers and our backline, Jameson B., Chris M., Dennis V., Jahbaar T., Michael M., Matteo Z., and Alonso G.. Alonso provided one of the best moments when he won the ball from a player his son's age. Not once. Not twice. Actually, scratch that—it was twice on the very same play. At that point, I wasn't sure whether I was watching a tackle or a lesson in persistence.

And then there was Kian Y., making his season debut with our Wolves. Like a rare celestial event, sightings are infrequent, but when they happen, they're worth the wait.

Thank you to Jameson B. and Carlo Z. for the wonderful selection of post-game bevies.

Some of our best Wolves moments happen after the final whistle. While we're always proud of our teams' victories and the effort the players put in on the field, sometimes the post-game celebrations and time spent together become the memories that last the longest.
